Non-negotiable areas for all factories that are required by Starbucks to have an assessment
星巴克所有要求審核的工廠應無條件符合以下標準:
1.Transparency: Openness, communication, and accountability
1.透明度:開放,溝通和負責任
Transparency: Starbucks expects suppliers to provide transparency into their operations, policies, processes, and relevant records to Starbucks or its designated third party. Suppliers must disclose the identity, physical location and ownership of all factories that will produce goods for Starbucks, including the use of sub-contractors.
透明度:星巴克期望供應商向星巴克或者指定的第三方提供他們的運作、政策、程序以及相關記錄的透明度。供應商必須披露所有為星巴克生產產品的工廠的名稱、地理位置和所屬情況,包括使用分包商的情況。
Bribery: Money and/or gifts of any type are not offered to Starbucks or its designated third party.
賄賂:不得對星巴克或者指定的第三方進行金錢或者禮物等任何形式的賄賂。
Subcontracting: Suppliers disclose the identity, physical location and ownership of any subcontractors that will produce goods for Starbucks. The factory prohibits unauthorized subcontracting for production and communicates any changes of subcontractors to Starbucks for approval.
使用分包商:供應商必須披露所有為星巴克生產產品的工廠的名稱、地理位置和所屬情況,包括使用分包商的情況。工廠不得使用未經批準的分包商進行生產同時應告知星巴克任何變動以獲得批準。
Examples of Non-Transparency: Without transparency, we are unable to know the true facility conditions

Concealing true working conditions and / or additional production locations

Double sets of payroll and production records

2.Commitment to Continuous Improvement: Starbucks expects suppliers to demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and engage in the improvement process.
承諾持續改進:星巴克期望供應商能夠承諾持續改進并付諸整改過程中。
3.Child Labor:
童工
Legal working age: The supplier does not employ workers under the age of 16 or the legal working age.
法定工作年齡:供應商不得雇用年齡小于16歲或者低于法定工作年齡的人員。
Documentation: Documentation is maintained to verify the age of all workers.
保留記錄:供應商需保留所有相關的記錄以便可以來確認所有工人的年紀是否符合。
4.Forced Labor: Forced Labor is work exacted under the menace of any penalty and for which the [worker] has not offered himself voluntarily.
強迫勞工:強迫勞工意為工人工作是在非自主自愿的前提下,以懲罰手段來脅迫工人工作。
Voluntary work: All workers provide voluntary work or service under no threat of penalty. Overtime is not mandatory.
自愿工作:提供所有的工人自主自愿工作或者服務的權利,沒有任何的懲罰手段脅迫工人。加班工作是自愿的而非強制性的。
Bond, debt, prison labor: Workers are not hired under bond, debt or other obligation, nor does the facility hire or subcontract work to prison labor.
債務勞工和監獄勞工:員工雇傭不應債務等其他制約,且工廠不得使用監獄工或者外發工作到監獄。
Document control: There is no holding original employee documents, such as passports, without a system for employees to access those documents at will.
文件控制:如無系統保證員工的任意使用,工廠不得保管其原始文件如護照等。
Physical restraint: There are no physical restraints to workers leaving the facility during work hours (e.g. locked exits, armed guards, etc.)
人身限制:不允許對工人在工作時間離開工廠進行人身限制。(例如:封鎖出口,警衛武裝等等。)
Deposits: Workers are not required to submit deposits that are equal of more than 1.5 times their monthly wage.
押金:不允許要求工人們交納相當于超過他們月薪的1.5倍作為押金。

Contract labor: wherein upfront fees are so high that workers are forced to borrow money and cannot afford to quit until loan is repaid

5.Payment of Wages:
工資支付
Minimum wage: All employees (including piece-rate, trainees and temporary workers) are paid at least the legal hourly minimum wage.
最低工資:所有員工(包括計件工,實習生和臨時工)應支付最少要相當于法定最低的小時工資。
Timeliness of payments: Workers must receive monetary payment within 45 days of the labor service provided.
及時支付工資:工人必須在提供勞動服務周期的45天內收到貨幣形式的報酬。
Documentation: Adequate documentation is available to verify that minimum wages are being paid to all workers.
保留文件:保留適當的文件資料以證明所有工人都至少被支付了最低工資。
6.Physical/Sexual Abuse and Sexual Harassment: Suppliers must not use or permit corporal punishment or any other form of physical or psychological coercion including verbal abuse and sexual harassment.
身體或性虐待和性騷擾:供應商不得允許或使用任何形式的身體或者精神上的的懲罰措施,包括言語辱罵和性騷擾。
7.Denied Access: Suppliers must allow announced and unannounced inspections of their records and all areas of the facilities by Starbucks or a Starbucks approved third party to verify compliance to the Standards, including confidential employee interviews.
拒絕評估:供應商必須允許星巴克或星巴克批準的第三方在通知和不通知的情況下,審核工廠的資料以及所有廠區范圍,包括對員工的私密訪談。
8.Environmental Impacts: The supplier / facility does not create significant Environmental issues causing direct and immediate environmental endangerment (i.e. toxic waste disposal)
環境影響:供應商/工廠不會對周邊環境引起重大的污染問題以至于造成直接和立即的環境破壞。(如有毒廢棄物的排放)
9.Life Safety: The supplier / facility does not create significant health and safety issues causing direct and immediate employee endangerment (i.e.: no secondary exits, no emergency alarm system, blocked primary aisles, blocked exits, locked exits without easy emergency access, hazardous electrical wiring, unsafe structural engineering, no protective equipment for workers and machinery at all, etc…)
生命安全:供應商/工廠不存在直接和立即造成員工危害的重大健康與安全問題。(如無第二出口,無緊急 報警系統,主通道受阻,緊急出口被阻,出口被鎖且不能逃生,有危險的電源線,不安全操作結構,員工及機器無任何保護裝置等)
